WKLU INTERVIEW:

This is from an interveiw with Steve Foster of WKLU in Oakridge:

SF: We're here in the studio with Jim Stiene on WKLU.
Jim has just released a 25 song CD entitled:
"If a Tree Falls In The Forest But Nobody Hears It... The Best Of Jim Stiene."
How did this CD come about?

JS: Well, basically I was trying to make the greatest collection of music in recorded history.

SF: I see. And do you feel you've suceeded?

JS: No. But it's pretty good.

SF: Okay.

JS: I mean, it's not bad. All the songs are catchy.

SF: That's true.

JS: It's just that some of the lyrics are kind of crappy, cause I threw them together in a rush.

SF: Yes, I was wondering about that.

JS: Well, they can't all be winners. There's bound to be some sketchier stuff in there.

SF: Such as...

JS: The first twenty songs. But I have some good ones towards the end.

SF: I see. Tell me, have you ever undergone psychiatric evaluation?

JS: Once, when I was trying to get a job.

SF: And did the word 'delusional' come up in the interview?

JS: I think it was mentioned a few times. But those are standard interviewing techniqes.

SF: I see.

JS: Why are you looking at me like that? What's so funny?

SF: I'm just happy to be here. Anyway that just about raps things up...

JS: But can't I tell them about my 150 song MP3 collection?

SF: Sorry. We're out of time.
The CD is a solid collection of catchy songs, so I recommend you pick one up.
This is Steve Foster on WKLU at 10 after the hour. Coming to you live from...
